Yahoo! Movies has premiered the first trailer for Universal’s upcoming CGI-animated feature, Despicable Me, from the executive producer of Ice Age, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, and Horton Hears a Who!
The film is loaded with voice talent led by Steve Carell as a villain who wants to steal the Moon. Yes, that Moon. Also lending their voices are Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Danny McBride, Jemaine Clement, Miranda Cosgrove, and Julie Andrews.
Despicable Me arrives in theaters approximately a year from now on July 9, 2010.
In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru planning the biggest heist in the history of the world.
