The new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen footage that Michael Bay debuted at ShoWest 2009 a couple weeks ago has shown up at Bay’s website.
The first half of the two-and-a-half minute sneak peek centers on Sam breaking some harsh news on Bumblebee, now relegated to living in Sam’s parents’ dilapidated garage. Oh yeah, Megan Fox strips out of tight leather into a prom dress.
After Megan presents Sam with flowers and you’re ready for some action, the footage kicks into and beyond overdrive. Devastator makes his first ominous appearance in the desert with a menacing growl. Jetfire not only appears but talks in a crotchety old voice. And Prime’s beat-down scene in the woods is expanded to include a tooth spit.
Bottom line: Revenge of the Fallen is looking about 1000x better than Transformers right now. Let’s hope the story holds up its end of the bargain.
