Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is now only 10 days from its delayed but no less anticipated debut. To help pump up Potter-mania, HBO began airing a new First Look special on July 3 that will air on select days and times throughout the month of July.
The roughly twelve-minute special, split into two videos below, is a mix of new cast and crew interview snippets, previously released footage, and fantastic all-new footage appearing in the public space for the first time.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter and others share thoughts about where their characters are at in Half-Blood Prince and their obvious excitement for the finished product which is looking better and better with each new clip released.
The most impressive and extensive new footage is from the Quidditch match which director David Yates describes as “Comedy Quidditch” due to Ron Weasley’s questionable skills. Previous Quidditch sequences have followed chasing the Golden Snitch while this outing spends time shooting goals at three hoops defended by Ron.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince flies into theaters and IMAX on July 15.
