Entertainment Tonight has debuted the first trailer for Brothers starring Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman which you can check out below.
In the upcoming Lionsgate drama, Tobey and Jake play siblings Sam and Tommy. When Sam’s chopper is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan and he’s believed to be dead, Tommy turns over a new leaf by taking responsibility for Sam’s wife, Grace (Portman), and children — leading to an unexpected attraction. Later, Sam returns home after being captured and tortured by Taliban fighters, shifting the family dynamic into super uncomfortable territory.
Despite the deep talent assembled for Brothers I feel like I just watched an entire Lifetime or We movie from the trailer. What do you think? Best acting nod for a psycho-looking Tobey Maguire or destined for a TV movie of the week?
