The Runaways have picked up another member with news that Scout Taylor-Compton will play rocker Lita Ford.
Though the source Variety makes no mention, the role of Lita had originally been presumed acquired by Alessandra Torresani and Taylor-Compton was on board to play bassist Jackie Fox. No word yet on whether Torresani will slide into Fox’s part or has dropped out for good.
Filming is already underway on The Runaways in Los Angeles with The Twilight Saga: New Moon’s Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett, Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie, and Stella Maeve as Sandy West. As soon as Jackie Fox is cast I’ll put together a comparison collage of the original artists and the actors portraying them.
You’ll next see Scout Taylor-Compton return to face off against Michael Myers in Halloween II this August.
