Samuel L. Jackson Talks Thor, Captain America, Avengers and Female Sidekicks

Samuel L. Jackson opened up a little last night about his participation in the Marvel universe and shared some cool little tidbits worth passing along.

Jackson confirmed that he has a brief one-day shoot for new scenes that will appear in Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor. These scenes will see his Nick Fury character invite Thor and Cap into the Avengers initiative, much like the scene at the end of Iron Man 2 that brought on Tony Stark as a consultant.

Joe Johnston had previously stated that Nick Fury would not appear in Captain America. Those comments came before Joss Whedon came on-board to work on The Avengers, and he could have requested the new scenes to create a sense of continuity into his film.

Jackson went on to state at The Avengers will begin shooting in April (we’ve heard that before) and said he has screen tests coming up in the next week with a bevy of young actresses, one of which will play his Avengers sidekick.

You can watch the clip of Jackson on Fallon, which includes an inappropriate use of a golf club, over at Hulu.
