Ryan Reynold’s wife Scarlett Johansson and his The Green Lantern co-star Blake Lively are apparently after the same coveted role in Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity project.
According to Heat Vision and later confirmed by EW, Lively and Johansson have both tested for the role of a female astronaut who will star alongside already cast Robert Downey Jr. Cuaron and Warner Bros. are expected to choose their leading lady within the next couple weeks.
Gravity, written by Cuaron and his brother Jonas, is about two astronauts who are left for dead in space after debris and junk slams into the Hubble Telescope they are repairing. They will presumably spend the film fighting the elements to get back to Earth, though the emphasis will be on the female who also happens to be a mother.
