Rumor: Star Wars Clone Wars Blu-ray in November

The Bothan Spies over at Rebelscum.com have revealed intelligence gleaned from Walmart’s computers indicating the Star Wars: the Clone Wars movie is coming to DVD on November 18.

The news does not include a mention for a day-and-date Blu-ray Disc release but we’d be shocked if one weren’t planned. Warner has already proven a willingness to release a variety of material on Blu-ray; from classics like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest to new television shows like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Ironically the Clone Wars film was originally to be the first four episodes of the Clone Wars television show which begins airing 22 episodes on October 3. George Lucas and company felt the animation and story was strong enough to port those episodes onto the big screen, and that’s exactly what will arrive in theaters on August 15.

We’ll certainly keep our eyes peeled for additional intel on what should and hopefully will be a stunning high-def Blu-ray Disc to watch/hear just before Thanksgiving.
