Fox will roll out the Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis co-directed film Machete into theaters on September 3 to time with Labor Day Weekend.
Machete is based off the fake trailer inserted within Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse in which an ex-Mexican Federale played by Danny Trejo is betrayed and sets out to seek revenge. Co-starring with Trejo are Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriquez and Lindsay Lohan.
Machete will arrive two months after the Robert Rodriquez-produced reboot Predators debuts, also under the Fox banner.
