Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the original ‘Resident Evil’ will be released Wednesday, January 2 on Blu-ray Disc with an SRP of $28.95, joining the previously released sequel ‘Resident Evil: Apocalypse.’
The studio has also announced a package containing all three Resident Evil films, including recently theatrically released ‘Resident Evil: Extinction,’ will be available the same date with a MAP of $58.95. Although no official announcement was made for a standalone version of Extinction, it’s a safe bet January 2 will mark its arrival.
Resident Evil will be presented in widescreen 1.85:1 1080p video and PCM 5.1 audio. Supplemental features has yet to be revealed.
