‘Resident Evil: Extinction’ Blu-ray Specs, Cover Art Revealed

Resident Evil: Extinction, the third film in the ongoing videogame-inspired series starring Milla Jovovich and co-starring Ali Larter and Mike Epps, was announced for Blu-ray Disc back on November 27 for a New Year’s Day release. At the time full disc specs were not available, but Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has followed up their initial announcement with the news and we’ve got it to pass along to you.

You can expect Resident Evil: Extinction to be presented in widescreen 2.4:1 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless audio. A companion PCM 5.1 lossless audio track will not appear on this release.

A picture-in-picture commentary titled Under the Umbrella and Blu-Wizard 2.0 dynamic custom playlists will be exclusive to Blu-ray. The additional special features, listed below, will also appear on the standard DVD.

Resident Evil: Extinction will carry an SRP of $38.96 when it releases on January 1, 2008. Available the same day is the Resident Evil Trilogy on Blu-ray Disc with an SRP of $89.95.
