Rayman Legends Headed to PS Vita with Exclusive Levels

Rayman Legends Headed to PS Vita with Exclusive LevelsRayman Legends will be paying PlayStation Vita a visit when it is finally released this fall, day-and-date with the console versions on September 3 in North America, and August 30 overseas.

The PS Vita version of Rayman Legends will include the same game as the console versions on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U. Rather than deliver a 1:1 port, Ubisoft has built in some exclusive content that takes advantage of the Vita’s Rear Touch Pad as well as some of the studio’s IPs. Which is ironic considering Rayman Legends was originally planned as a Nintendo exclusive.

Five exclusive maps will be included with Rayman Legends on PS Vita that allow players to take control of Murphy, the green bottle fly. Murphy will be controlled entirely via the Rear Touch Pad for some unique gameplay opportunities.

Two exclusive costumes were created specifically for the PS Vita version of Rayman Legends as well. The first sees Rayman dress up as the Prince of Persia, while the second lets Globox go stealth Splinter Cell style. These guys are better known as Ray of Persia and Glob Cell.

Rayman Legends on PS Vita also offers local Wi-Fi multiplayer co-op mode, online leaderboards, and online challenges. The co-op mode lets player one use classic controls while player two controls Murfy with the touch screen.
