We found a nice surprise today when firing up Buena Vista Home Entertainment’s ‘Wild Hogs’ Blu-ray Disc for the first time. Individual upcoming films coming to Blu-ray teasers have replaced the montage Blu-ray Disc promo trailer that’s been running since late last year. More importantly, the first Blu-ray Disc trailer to play was Disney and Pixar’s latest CGI-animated feature, ‘Ratatouille.’
Unfortunately, the ‘Ratatouille’ Blu-ray teaser is identical to the theatrical teaser sans a release date. We’d like to think ‘Ratatouille’ will appear on Blu-ray day-and-date with the standard DVD release in November or December, or right around the same time ‘Cars’ is likely to roar onto Blu-ray. Either way, with the ‘Pixar Shorts Collection’ due in November, it looks like there’s a decent chance we’ll get a trio of high definition gems from the storied animation studio before the year is out.
