Original article: Sony’s PlayStation 4 console has only been available to own for less than five days, and already a second firmware update, system software update 1.51, is on the verge of going live.
Sometime later tonight Sony will make system software version 1.51 available to download and install. This minor firmware update improves “system stability,” in Sony’s words, as well as tweaks the user interface including a notification that alerts a user of a simultaneous path and game update. Other updates were not spelled out in Sony’s blog post.
If you are a happy PS4 owner and leave your console in stand-by mode then system software update 1.51 will automatically be detected when available and downloaded. All you will need to do is install it which should take seconds or minutes at the most.
