Prince of Persia’s reinvention on next-gen consoles is just around the corner. To build up to the game’s release, Ubisoft has released this new video showcasing a new character to the series.
Elika is Prince of Persia’s heroine and plays alongside him throughout the game. Rather than follow the Prince around like a dog, Elika’s skills are critical to the Prince’s success.
Ubisoft describes Elika “as the last in a line of priestesses guarding the Tree of Life where the evil Ahriman has been contained for the past millennia, Elika is the Prince’s steadfast companion throughout his journey. Her amazing magical abilities allow him to navigate impossible routes, fight nightmarish creatures and can even save him from sure death. As the only one with the ability to heal the corrupted land, Elika is essential in the Prince’s fight to stop the spreading darkness from destroying the world.”
The short video below sees Elika showing off several combat and terrain traversing co-op moves in her arsenal. Looks like she’s also getting the Prince interested in more than just her help.
Prince of Persia for PS3 and Xbox 360 arrives in stores December 2.
