A new Masters of the Universe movie looks to be back on track again after Warner Bros. failed to get their version off the ground and ultimately shipped the rights off to Columbia Pictures last fall.
According to the Heat Vision Blog, Predators scribes Mike Finch and Alex Litvak have been brought on board to write a screenplay based on their pitch. Nothing is known of the plot but said pitch is suggested to be both cinematic and faithful to the Mattel characters as portrayed in the 80s television show and comics.
Predators went from script to screen in a little over a year. He-Man is probably more likely for a late 2011 or 2012 release as Columbia will need to work closely with Mattel who needs to be satisfied their coveted property is being properly portrayed on the big screen.
