Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has alerted retailers of plans to release Point Break on Blu-ray Disc July 1. Point Break stars Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swyaze, who is currently battling a deadly form of Cancer.
The Point Break: Pure Adrenaline Edition is modeled off the standard DVD of the same name which was released in October of 2006. All the supplemental materials included on that release including 8 deleted scenes, 4 featurettes with new cast interviews, and a photo gallery are expected to appear on the Blu-ray version.
Fox will present Point Break on Blu-ray in widescreen 2.35:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. It’s not yet clear if a D-Box motion control track will appear on the disc, but this would be a fantastic film to experience one.
