One of the biggest questions surrounding any new gaming console release is how to get it early. In most cases there is no way, but with Sony’s Playstation Vita, spending a little more will put one in your hands a week before anyone else.
Tomorrow on February 15, Sony is releasing the Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle a week before the standalone PS Vita release. What you get for the $350 the bundle costs are a 3G/Wi-Fi PS Vita console, a 4GB memory card (larger proprietary cards are sold separately), the Little Deviants PS Vita game, and a PS Vita case to keep the console safe.
As the Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle has crept closer, its pre-order sales at Amazon.com have been picking up momentum. When I checked Amazon’s hourly updated video game sales leaders this morning, the Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle was in the number eight spot. At the time of this article it sits in the number seven spot. Can it crack the top five and move ahead of Sony’s own Twisted Metal for PS3?
Many of the PS Vita launch games from Sony, Ubisoft and other publishers came out today on Valentine’s Day, so those picking up the Playstation Vita First Edition Bundle can jump right in without having the wait. We should have some PS Vita reviews to share a little later this month.
