Paul Blart: Mall Cop Rules Box Office Again

Vampires and Lycans put their best fangs forward against Paul Blart at the box office this past weekend but came up a few pounds short.

Blart continues to roll over the competition at the box office, raking in another $21.5 million for a total fat domestic gross of a cool $64.8 million. That’s a lot of Dunkin Donuts.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans didn’t perform too shabby either with a $20.7 million performance. It’s the lowest opening weekend take for the series but not my much. The first Underworld raked in $21.8 million while Underworld: Evolution set the series record at $26.9 million.

Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino continues to perform strong with another $16 million. At $97.6 million, it will likely cross the magic $100 mark this week.

The complete top 10 box office performers shake out as follows.

  • 1. Paul Blart: Mall: $21.5m
  • 2. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans: $20.7m
