Today Paramount’s Paranormal Activity expands nationwide into 800 screens after over 1 million requests for additional theaters were reached as part of a cleverly designed marketing campaign.
Last weekend Paranormal Activity scared up $7.9 million in ticket sales off a mere 160 screens. Apply that math to the new screen count means the film made for less than a year of college tuition would make $39.5 million this upcoming weekend. That number is unlikely but the potential for another big surprise in what will be the film’s fourth weekend of release is there.
