Paramount has released the first image of Saïd Taghmaoui as communications specialist Breaker in Steven Sommers’ GI Joe. He’s sporting the same black armor seen worn by other Joe members, only with added communications gear and maybe a stick of gum in his mouth.
You may recall seeing Saïd in Vantage Point, The Kite Runner, Hidalgo, or I Heart Huckabees. In GI Joe, he’ll be called upon to help stop a corrupt arms dealer and new terrorist organization from taking over the world.
Also starring in GI Joe are Dennis Quaid as Hawk, Sienna Miller as The Baroness, Channing Tatum as Duke, Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Christopher Eccleston as Destro, Ray Park as Snake Eyes, Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, Arnold Vosloo as Zartan, Byung-hun Lee as Storm Shadow, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Heavy Duty.
GI Joe will roll into theaters on August 7, 2009, with accompanying videogames, toys, and everything else you can imagine.
