EA and Pandemic Studios have announced development is currently underway on a new game set within The Lord of the Rings universe and designed with the cooperation of New Line Cinema.
The Lord of the Rings: Conquest puts players in command of massive armies to reenact the battles from The Lord of the Rings. For the first time ever in a Lord of the Rings game, players will be able to fight on Sauron’s side, including suiting up as the evil lord himself.
Pandemic Studios is responsible for Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II, which should give you a good idea of what to expect from The Lord of the Rings: Conquest. You’ll be able to see for yourself with the exclusive trailer debut on Spike TV’s GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley on Friday, June 20.
The Lord of the Rings: Conquest will arrive in stores this fall on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, the PC, and Nintendo DS.
