Warner Home Video has pushed back the Blu-ray Disc release of Otis Uncut from June 10 to October 7.
Otis had been announced for Blu-ray and DVD the day after premiering at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference & Festival on March 7. The aggressive push to get it out on home video in less than a month proved to be not enough time, thus leading to the delay.
Otis is the second Raw Feed title announced for Blu-ray, the first being Sublime. Unlike Sublime, Otis will be released day-and-date with the standard DVD debut.
Otis on Blu-ray will be presented in widescreem 2.35:1 1080p video and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio.
Supplemental features will include a commentary by director Tony Krantz and writer Erik Jendresen; The Twisted World of Otis in which the cast and crew discuss how and why comedy works within the confines of the film; Suite 16, the home movie of Otis; and an alternate ending with introduction by Tony Krantz that gives a starkly different tone and finality to the film.
Despite the delay, Otis will still carry an SRP of $28.99. Click here to pre-order Otis on Blu-ray for $18.95 from Amazon.com.
