Nintendo Bringing 3DS and Wii to Comic-Con, But No Wii U

Nintendo has announced an extensive list of Wii, 3DS and DS games that will be playable at Comic-Con later this week. Noticeably absent from the lineup is Nintendo’s Wii U console which was fully playable at E3 a little over a month ago.

The first-pary 3DS games coming to Comic-Con in playable form include Super Mario, Mario Kart, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Star Fox 64 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Pokedex 3D. Third party games include Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D (Konami), Shinobi (SEGA), Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (CAPCOM), Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (Capcom) and Dead or Alive: Dimensions from (Tecmo Koei).

Wii’s lineup is highlight by The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which will be playable to the public for the first time ever. Other first-party Wii titles include Kirby Wii, Rhythm Heaven and Fortune Street, while third-party entries include Captain America: Super Soldier (SEGA) and Just Dance (Ubisoft).

There are two places you’ll be able to check out Nintendo at Comic-Con. They’ll have a booth set up (#5135), plus a special gaming lounge in the San Diego Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis & Marina at 333 W. Harbor Drive, which is adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center where Comic-Con is held.
