Nintendo today announced plans to release a new black Wii bundle in stores on October 23.
The Nintendo black Wii bundle will come packaged with a black Wii console, remote and Nunchuk controller, New Super Mario Bros. Wii game, and an exclusive Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD. The soundtrack will not be available separately.
The new black Wii console has been reconfigured to sit horizontally rather than vertically. This is the same configuration as the upcoming Wii U, expected to arrive in stores during the latter half of 2012.
The black Wii bundle’s price is $149.99, the same as what the current Mario Kart Wii bundle is selling for. Both bundles will be available through the holiday shopping season.
Right now Amazon.com has not begun taking pre-orders for the black Wii bundle. I’ll pass along an alert when they do.
