The NFL Lockout and ongoing dispute is threatening whether the upcoming season will play out with replacement players or shelved entirely. Despite the outcome, Electronic Arts and the venerable Madden franchise won’t miss a beat.
EA has put rumors to rest that Madden NFL 12 might be delayed or canceled by the NFL Lockout via a statement. No matter what happens between the NFLPA and the franchise owners, Madden NFL 12 is coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and other platforms this August.
Like any new iteration of Madden there are new promised features and innovations. Right now the only known one is a surprise onside kick for players who wish to gamble field position for a chance at maintaining possession of the ball.
Look for EA to reveal more Madden NFL 12 features either around or during E3 in early June.
