The landslide of new Thor footage continues to trickle out with the latest coming from a behind-the-scenes featurette that focuses on building a town in the New Mexico desert, and then blowing it up.
If watching crew members erect fake buildings and a 7-11 aren’t your cup of tea, don’t worry. Asgard is represented mightily in the featurette so you get several all-new looks of the towering spires and structures that populate the otherworldly realm. It all looks fantastic and greatly contrasts the barren New Mexico desert vistas.
This featurette follows right on the heels of the first three Thor clips which were released over the past 10 days or so, all of which focus on the God of Thunder’s post-arrival on Earth. Clip one is Thor’s immediate arrival and introduction to a taser, clip two is Thor engaged in a brawl with a S.H.I.E.L.D. security guard while trying to retrieve Mjolnir, and clip three Thor’s reaction when awakening in the hospital after being tazed.
There are two more Thor clips expected to be unveiled to the public between now and the film’s May 6 release in 2D, 3D and IMAX. Any new clips or footage will be passed along as soon as they become available.
