A lone new image from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has come online.
The image features the dwarves (from left-to-right) Bifur (William Kircher), Dwalin (Graham McTavish), Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Bofur (James Nesbitt) and Oin (John Callen). Yes, that does appear to be a plate of food perched atop Bofur’s noggin.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey stars Martin Freeman, Evangeline Lilly, Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Hugo Weaving, Andy Serkis, Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen, Luke Evans, Lee Pace and Richard Armitage. Two films based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel are being shot simultaneously, with An Unexpected Journey arriving in theaters on December 14, 2012.
