Paramount has released a new publicity still from M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender film that is based on Nickelodeon’s Avatar animated television series.
The still shows Airbender Aang (Noah Ringer) preparing to square off against a hoard of enemy soldiers wielding a variety of blades. Though obscured slightly due to the image’s depth, this is the first good look we have had at who Aang will be using his skills and powers against.
The Last Airbender co-starring Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) will arrive in theaters on July 2. The first new footage since the teaser trailer is expected to air during the Superbowl this upcoming Sunday, February 7.
