Genius/Weinstein has released the details for the upcoming May 19 release of Fanboys on DVD. Notice I didn’t say Blu-ray too because neither did Weinstein.
Back on March 3 I reported Amazon had slotted a Blu-ray version of Fanboys into their May 19 release schedule. With this new announcement I’m beginning to wonder if Weinstein got cold HD feet and is sticking to DVD despite Amazon still having a Fanboys Blu-ray placeholder for the same date.
At worst Fanboys on DVD is coming on May 19 which is the 10th anniversary to the day of when The Phantom Menace stormed theaters. To Star Wars faithful its an anniversary. To everyone else its a grim reminder of what could have been but came up grossly short.
