The NBA Playoffs have yet to get underway but Warner Home Video has already made plans to highlight the championship team on an upcoming Blu-ray Disc release.
NBA Champions 2008-2009 on Blu-ray and DVD will be made available July 14 and presumably chronicle the winning team through its regular season and playoff run.
The announcement tells us the run time will come in at 78 minutes with an MSRP of $34.99. Seems kind of steep if you work out the dollar-per-minute. Then again, what fan wouldn’t pay top dollar for their beloved team in high-def?
The only other information available at this time is we can confirm a 1.78:1 1080p transfer on a BD-25 disc. Additional details, Amazon pre-order information and cover art will be passed along in the near future.
