NBA 2K13 arrives on Wii U today with a funky new feature that lets you play doctor of sorts with the team you’re controlling.
The feature is called the Gatorade Biometric Scan and it essentially allows you to monitor the moods, fatigue levels, and performance of players in real-time using the Wii U GamePad. You can also use the GamePad for other obvious functions such as play-calling and roster changes, but the Gatorade Biometric Scan looks to be the most intriguing addition for the Wii U port.
Watch the 2K Sports NBA 2K13 below that walks you through the Gatorade Biometric Scan with some examples of it in action. I can’t seeing using this feature while controlling a team on the court, but it definitely offers value for player for armchair coaches out there.
