Another installment of The Muppets is coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on August 12 with the home video debut of Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted: The Unnecessarily Extended Edition, this past spring’s sequel to The Muppets .
Why the long and obnoxious name, you wonder? Disney has added an additional 12 minutes worth of footage to the film that stars Ricky Gervais (The Office), Ty Burrell (Modern Family) and Tina Fey (30 Rock), along with a host of lovable Muppet characters and more cameos than anyone can possibly keep track of.
Disney is presenting Muppets Most Wanted on Blu-ray in 1.78:1 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. The bonus features on the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD combo pack include the following:
- The Statler and Waldorf Cut
- The Longer Longest Blooper Reel in Muppets History
- Rizzo’s Biggest Fan
- “I’ll Get You What You Want” Music Video Performed by Bret McKenzie
