A news post over at the MTV Movies Blog is reporting Matthew Marsden has landed a role in Michael Bay’s Transformers 2, currently filming on-location in Pennsylvania.
Marsden was most recently seen in Black Hawk Down, Resident Evil: Extinction and as the bad-ass sniper in Rambo.
In Transformers 2, he’ll play Graham who is a character who is a member of the British Special Forces. He’s expected to team up with Josh Duhamel and Tyrese’s US military characters to fend off global Decepticon attacks.
Apparently Marsden made such a big impression on Bay that the script was adjusted to beef up Graham’s role. If that doesn’t stroke Marsden’s ego then I don’t know what will.
Transformers 2 will invade theaters on June 26, 2009.
