Simon Pegg and Nick Frost continue to pile on funnymen with news that Seth Rogen and friends have joined their upcoming comedy project, Paul.
Per Variety, Rogen will lend his voice to an escapee alien, Paul, from Area 51. Frost and Pegg play science fiction fanatics (re: comic book nerds) from the United Kingdom who stumble onto the alien whilst on a cross-country road trip.
Joining Rogen as new cast members are Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Jane Lynch.
Paul was co-written by buds Pegg and Frost, their first highly anticipated collaboration since Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
Stepping behind the camera is Greg Mottola, fresh off Adventureland and Superbad which coincidentally, or not, featured Seth Rogen. One-upping Rogen is Hader who starred in each of Mottola’s previous two films.
Universal will distribute Paul which hopes for a mid to late 2010 release.
