Morgan Freeman is in negotiations to join Bruce Willis in Summit Entertainment’s upcoming thriller Red.
Red, currently in development at Summit Entertainment, is one of the few DC Comics projects not stewing at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The original three-part comic was written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Cully Hamner for release in 2003 and 2004. Its story follows a retired black-ops agent who finds himself the target of the same men who trained him. Think Taken meets The Bourne films to get a flavor for the action.
The script is currently being written by brothers Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber who worked collaboratively on the thriller Whiteout starring Kate Beckinsale and Gabriel Macht.
