Well that didn’t take long.
Earlier this evening the Internet lit up with quotes from Michael Bay stating he is done with the Transformers franchise now that Revenge of the Fallen is complete. Such a bold claim meant all eyes immediately focused on Michael Bay’s website for a response, and he came through with one almost immediately.
In a direct response to the quotes Bay fired back with, “Hah, Love press how they spin. Never said it – just wanted a vacation is more to the point. And no I don’t read the good or the bad reviews.”
If he never said it then WENN’s fabricated direct quotes were pretty ballsy. Then again, maybe Bay did say it and meant otherwise. Wouldn’t be the first time.
The bottom line is no one knows what Bay’s involvement will be with Transformers 3. We probably won’t hear anything otherwise until next year at the earliest.
