Disney is beginning to wrap up their promotional campaign for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides ahead of its theatrical debut this Friday with a pair of new behind-the-scenes featurettes, both of which you can watch below.
The first featurette is titled ‘Blackbeard, Zombies, Mermaids’ and naturally is divided up equally to discuss each of those three characters. Zombies, as the featurette reveals, are brought back from the dead by Blackbeard to serve as the crew on his ship. Mermaids are part of the equation to the Fountain of Youth, and Blackbeard is simply the most evil man on the planet at that time.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ distinctively international cast is highlighted in the second featurette. Johnny Depp, of course, is the star. Helping him out are a number of diverse actors from around the globe including Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Sam Claflin, Geoffrey Rush, Penelope Cruz, Oscar Jaenada, Yuki Matsuzaki and more.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hopes to keep the momentum flowing at the box office when it opens in 2D, 3D, and 3D IMAX this Friday, May 20.
