There were three potential playable characters for Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes that appeared in the reveal trailer as blink-and-you-will-miss-them cameos. Two of those characters, Meridia from Pixar’s Brave and Maleficent from the upcoming film of the same name, have now been confirmed via the official Disney Infinity Twitter account.
Maleficent, as based on the live-action film starring Angelina Jolie that opens Friday, was confirmed back on May 12 with a Twitter tease stating, “Bring on the Wicked.” Similarly, earlier today a similar tease appeared for Meridia that reads, “Bring on the Brave” with additional text proclaiming, “#DisneyInfinity is about to change your fate.”
It just so happens that a special D23 event will take place tonight in San Francisco, CA that will include a presentation followed by a screening of Maleficent. I’d place the odds at extremely high that by this time tomorrow, the Maleficent figure will be formally announced and unveiled. If it isn’t, then expect a reveal during E3. The same holds true for Meridia.

The other figure teased during the Disney Infinity 2.0 trailer was Stitch, and I would be surprised if he didn’t get a full reveal by E3 as well. Fans have been clamoring for some non-Marvel related Disney Infinity 2.0 scoops, and a new trailer featuring the non-Marvel characters would certainly hit the spot.
Fun Fact: Disney Infinity was full of Pixar characters including multiples from Cars, Monsters University and The Incredibles. Meridia will be the first Pixar character introduced in Disney Infinity 2.0 in the first year since 2005 that has not seen a new Pixar film released.
