If McG didn’t have enough on his plate directing and now working on the post-production of Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, then he’ll surely have his hands full in the near future.
Warner Brothers has acquired the rights to Dead Spy Running, the first in a trilogy of new spy novels by British writer Jon Stock not expected to hit book stands until next summer.
McG is slated to not only direct, but also co-produce the spy origin story with Jeanne Allgood at Wonderland Sound and Vision through their deal with Warner.
Dead Spy Running involves the story of a freshly recruited and trained spy learning his way in the world. Sort of the opposite of Jason Bourne. No timetable is currently known for release.
