Blu-ray consumer ambassador Scott Hettrick is reporting Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has rescheduled the Blu-ray Disc debut of ‘Master And Commander: The Far Side of the World’ for February 5, 2008, a full third of a year later than the originally planned October 2 release.
Scott claims the delay is due to “technical glitches” relating to the interactive features Fox has planned for the release. There’s no reason not to believe this as ‘Master And Commander’ is a big release for Fox and initially part of its opening wave of fall Blu-ray titles.
Likewise, ‘The Amityville Horror’ delay, which Scott confirms will push that title sometime into 2008, is due to marketing reasons only.
