Mass Effect 3 Demo Launches Today; Game has Gone Gold

Mass Effect 3 Demo Launches Today; Game has Gone GoldToday EA has released the much-anticipated Mass Effect 3 demo for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC users. If you’re able to download it and haven’t already, what are you waiting for?

In addition, yesterday BioWare’s Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series, took to Twitter to announce that development on the game has wrapped and that it has finally gone gold. I was starting to wonder if the release date would hold after last fall’s untimely delay into early 2012, and thankfully Casey has put those fears to rest.

Hudson also teased that more surprises from the game will be released this week and the days leading up to the game’s March 6, 2012 release date. What could they possibly be?

If you can’t find the time or don’t have an online connection to play the Mass Effect 3 demo, you can still get a good feel for the game thanks to a YouTube video that walks through the first 40 minutes of gameplay. You might want to grab some chips and a cold beverage before hitting the play button. And, of course, a major spoiler warning applies.
