Marvel vs Capcom 2 Coming to Xbox 360 and PS3

Fans clamored for it and Capcom is delivering. Yes, folks, Marvel vs Capcom 2 is for real and will be playable in less than two days on Playstation 3.

The MVC2 demo will be exclusive to PSN and available for free download this Thursday. No gimmicks or pre-orders required. It’s a straight up download that won’t cost you a cent.

Xbox 360 owners won’t get a demo (yet, at least) but will get to experience the full game this summer when it releases simultaneously with the PS3 version.

The demo will feature six available characters: Ryu, Chun-Li, Strider, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Wolverine; seven selectable environments; upscaled 1080p graphics; widescreen or 4:3 aspect ratio options; and two graphic filter options for character sprites.

The full game will sport over 50 playable characters, tag team dream matches and online play.

Capcom likely won’t release the exact release date for the full version for a few more weeks at the earliest. I’ll be sure to share once Capcom makes the announcement.
