Earlier this morning the L.A. Times namedropped that Dr. Who aka David Tennant was among the list of rumored actors vying to take over for Ed Norton as Bruce Banner / The Hulk. It was just that, a name drop, with no real substance behind it.
Now only a few hours removed from Tennant’s name being tossed in the hat and he’s already old news. Deadline is reporting Mark Ruffalo is not only rumored for the role but is currently in late-stage negotiations with Marvel to land it. He looks the part, is being praised for his work in The Kids Are All Right and apparently is a joy to work with. I say get him signed up immediately.
Whoever is chosen to play Bruce Banner will likely not be confirmed by Marvel until Comic-Con. We’ve got 10 more days until that happens.
