The race to make the NFL playoffs will be in full swing by the time Wii U drops into stores on November 18. The season has passed the halfway mark, and Wii U arrives just ahead of the traditional Thanksgiving Day games.
One of Wii U’s launch titles is EA’s Madden NFL 13, a port of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version with a handful of new features added on to give it a little more value and allure. It looks like 99+ percent of the Wii U version will be identical to its console brothers, save for some new touchscreen functionality on the Wii U’s GamePad.
EA has passed along a new sizzle reel Madden NFL 13 Wii U trailer that highlights the new features – all three of them. With the Wii U GamePad you will be able to call plays, design custom hot routes as if drawing on a chalkboard, and adjust defensive alignments. In other words, EA is giving you some basic tools to aid in ruining your team’s professional proficiency by mucking up player positioning on any given play. Armchair quarterbacks should be delighted.
