Between now and the release of Madden NFL 10 on August 14, Tiburon and EA Sports will release five “Developer Series” documentaries that go behind-the-scenes on specific aspects of this year’s pigskin entry in the venerable franchise.
The first installment takes a closer look at Pro-Tak technology which makes its debut in Madden NFL 10. Pro-Tak is a dynamic new system which enables defensive teammates to “gang tackle” offensive players and likewise offensive players to “push forward” their ball carrier when in the process of being gang tackled.
EA in the video documentary is extremely high on Pro-Tak, so much so that they claim it is the single most drastic gameplay change made in the franchise. Ever.
Check out the video below with Madden NFL 10 senior producer Phil Frazier, senior designer Ian Cummings, and development manager Ryan Ferwerda discussing the origins and implementation of Pro-Tak in Madden NFL 10.
