Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted and its Afro Circus hasn’t left its theatrical run just yet, but hasn’t stopped Dreamworks and Amazon.com to begin taking pre-orders for summer animated hit.
Currently Amazon is listing two different Blu-ray skus for Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. The first is a Blu-ray 3D combo pack that also includes the Blu-ray, DVD, digital copy and Ultraviolet versions of the film. The second is a Blu-ray, DVD, digital copy and UltraViolet version combo pack that also includes the new short film Marty’s Rainbow Wig on a separate disc. It looks like the short will be exclusive to this set.
Interest has been high in both Blu-ray versions of Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted since they appeared on Amazon.com for pre-order. Currently the Blu-ray 3D version is in position 7 on Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart, and the Blu-ray version in position 10.
Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted stars the voices of Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Andy Richter, Cedric the Entertainer, Frances McDormand, Bryan Cranston, Martin Short, Tom McGrath and Jessica Chastain. It opened on June 8, 2012 and has already gobbled up $490.7 million in worldwide box office ticket sales.
