Fox’s Texas con-drama Lone Star may have won over critics but audiences weren’t as easily wooed. As a result, Fox canceled Lone Star today after last night’s second episode failed to improve upon the premiere’s dismal ratings.
Those second episode numbers were 3.2 million viewers and a mere 1.0 rating for adults 18-49. That’s actually worse than the already low 4.1 million viewers and 1.3 rating from the premiere.
With Lone Star booted to the curb, Fox will fill its Monday night time slot with the third season of Lie to Me. The cast and crew will unfortunately need to find new work.
