Logan Lerman’s name is about to become a lot more familiar to you and not because he is about to star in the upcoming film Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
While promoting Percy Jackson on Access Hollywood’s The Billy Bush Show, Lerman not only expressed interest in playing Peter Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot film, but confirmed he and Sony are already engaged in early talks about the role.
According to Lerman, he is a huge fan of the webslinger and would nothing more than to take the reins from Tobey Maguire. He also confirms the feeling is mutual from Sony and they are eying him for the role.
Hiring Lerman for Spider-Man could turn into a great movie for Sony. In addition to gaining exposure from Percy Jackson with the younger “Harry Potter” crowd, he has the looks of a younger Tobey Maguire sporting the Peter Parker hairdo seen above with some Zac Efron mixed in to lure the ladies. Most importantly for Sony, he’d come at a discount compared to hiring someone of Maguire’s caliber or even someone like Efron whose name keeps popping up in rumors for the role.
