Lindsay Lohan Finally Joins Gotti Movie

Lindsay Lohan’s back-and-forth attachment to Fiore Films’ Gotti: Three Generations movie project finally chose a side today with a deal being struck between the studio and the troubled actress.

Per a press release issued yesterday afternoon by Fiore Films, Lohan has signed on to play Kimberly Gotti, wife of John Gotti Jr. The announcement comes as a surprise given Lohan had originally been negotiating for the role of Victoria, John Gotti’s daughter.

As late as yesterday morning, negotiations between Lohan’s management and producer Marc Fiore were considered dead in the water. Fiore publicly stated that Lohan was out and would not appear in the movie.

According to The Wrap who spoke to Fiore’s spokesman, Lohan’s interest in the project never wavered even as talks broke down. She is said to have personally pulled the negotiations back together and steer both sides toward a deal.

Lohan’s deal with Fiore also includes a role in a second film, Mob Street. Chazz Palminteri is currently penning that screenplay.

In Gotti: Three Generations, Lohan joins John Travolta as John Gotti Sr. and Joe Pesci as Angelo Ruggierio. Production will get underway this fall with a release date in 2012.
